Don't
get too close! I found this hornets nest in a crabapple tree
along the edge of a yard. It was about head high off the
ground. Talk about a surprise. I didn't actually see any
hornets on it but then again I didn't waste anytime looking
for them either. The nest was found in Monroe County and you
can view more on Monroe County by clicking the picture. The
Gallery will open in a new window. You can return here by
closing the Gallery window.
This rabbit was verwie verwie quiet while MVH sneaked up on
him for a photo shoot. With a little patience and persistence
you can capture a unique moment in time to share with us all.
This rabbit was found in Clay County enjoying a bit of Mr.
McGregor's grass for his dinner. MVH spent the evening
cleaning the grass stains off the elbows of his new shirt.
Wild Turkeys in
Owen Putnam State Forest

These turkey were
found in a pine grove in a safety zone of Owen Putnam State
Forest. The white one seamed to me to be unusual for a wild
bird. Let me know if you have seen any of these white birds
and if they are common among the wild ones here in Indiana.
